1973 Kawasaki Z1 900cc
Service
Owner: Jeff K. of Kentucky
COMMENTS:  This 1-owner bike has been enjoyed since new but needed plenty of TLC to get it back to its former glory. It arrived running, but not well.  Highlights of the service include adjust timing chain & valves, change fluids, replace drive chain & clutch cable, rebuild carburetors, replace petcock, clean & seal interior of gasoline tank, rebuild front brake caliper, replace brake hoses, replace front & rear tires, wheel rims & spokes, and paint & polish wheel hubs, replace front fork tubes, install tapered roller steering bearings, new steering lock & ignition switch, re-seal engine, paint engine & frame (scuff & spray), polish, repair chip on gasoline tank, install Dyna electronic ignition, replace turn signal heads & stalks, recover wire harness, re-chrome various parts, clean exhaust system & re-use, replace handlebar, paint handlebar controls, clean original shocks & re-use, and re-face speedo & tachometer gauges.
This project took 11 months and over 53 hours of labor, parts extra.
