COMMENTS: This Montessa came to the owner from his father's collection and had been stored meticulously for years. To get the bike running reliably & safely, we cleaned & adjust points, replaced spark plug lead wires & end, rebuilt Amal 627 carburetor, new fuel line, new 6 volt battery, added battery strap, replaced air filter foam, changed transmission oil & primary oil, replaced gasoline tank vent hose, replace missing petcock/fuel valve, replaced tires, cleaned & sealed fiberglass gasoline tank, replace drive chain with O-ring chain, lubed all cables, replaced speedometer cable, replaced front fork seals, replace shifter rubber & brake rubber, added a new blade fuse & corrected electrical wiring, installed new hi/low headlight & horn switch, cleaned & repaired horn, repaired broken tail light wire & install missing ground wire in headlight. This service took 14 hours and 3 months to complete.
