1965 Ford F100 Stepside Pick-Up Truck
Service with some Cosmetics
Owner: Horton B-C of Virginia
COMMENTS: Normally, we don't work on trucks or cars, but this one belongs to our customer who has a strong appreciation for vintage be it 2-wheel or 4. The truck lived in California for most if its life where it was spared the East Coast's snow, salt & humidity. The original owner took meticulous care and kept impeccable records of this truck. The truck has only 39,8xx miles. Our customer, the second owner, brought this truck home from California in late Spring of 2011. Our task was to get it running safely and looking great again, but not go so far as to do a complete paint job. 18 hours of labor for mechanical repair, upgrades & some cosmetic work have this truck back on the road & turning heads.

4.2 minute video showing this Ford truck running and additional photos of the service work
Dual circuit brake master cylinder installed. Now the truck is safer with this modern braking system.
Don't let the decent look of the truck fool you - here's one of the 4 wheel
cylinders. The other 3 looked similar & all had to be replaced.
Prepping the wheel rims for paint
Hubcaps stripped & ready for the paint booth. Looks like a stringer full of metal, round fish.
New distributor cap and wires - the ignition was converted to electronic
Comparison of the new dual master cylinder vs. the old single circuit master cylinder
Rear bumper - flaky paint removed, rust protectant added and fresh paint
Though this truck lived in California, it did develop surface rust
