Winterizing ... Don't Wait Till it's Too Late!
When the day & night time temps are dropping, it's time to schedule your watercraft winterizing appointment. Avoid hundreds to thousands of dollars worth of engine damage caused by freezing water, corrosion, and degraded fuel. Bring in your Boat or Jet Ski/PWC for professional winterizing. Boat Owners: this is also a great time to change the oil & filter. We're here to give you peace of mind & help prevent the type of damage that can ruin your family's fun on the water. So make that appointment to drop-off your watercraft soon!
NOTE: Turn-around time from drop-off to pick-up is @ 2 to 3 weeks
in Locust Grove, Virginia Winterizing Prices effective October 2009 (no price increase in 2 years)
- Jet Skis / PWC = $110 + Parts/Supplies
- Boats = $120 + Parts/Supplies (outboard, inboard, or inboard/outboard engines)
- Watercraft Labor Rate = $95 per hour
Parts / Supplies
- $7 per bottle of fuel stabilizer (jet ski = 1, boat = 2)
- $10 fogging oil
- $4 to $8 per spark plug, each
- $7 antifreeze (for certain boats)

Does your boat need an oil change?
We'll be happy to change the oil in your boat during the Winterizing service.
The fees below are in addition to the winterizing charge:
- $50 to change the oil
- $7 per quart of 10w40 oil / $13 for quart of synthetic oil
- $14 oil filter
- $2 oil disposal fee
Professional Winterizing includes:
- Intake system and cylinders fogged
- Rust preventative added to flame arrestor
- Jet pump lubricated
- Spark plugs check/replaced, if needed
- Water box drained, if applicable
- Water trap/separator drained
- Fuel stabilizer added to gasoline tank
- Antifreeze added, if applicable
- Battery disconnected & removed
- Bilge emptied
- Fire extinguisher checked
- Overall visual inspection of vehicle & trailer
